First off StreetBallWales would like to extend a warm welcome to you, the visitor.
This site was set up by four young players with no specific loyalty to one club, area or organisation. All they had was one common want and one common idea, to help put basketball back on the map by increasing the communication between players, coaches, fans etc. To help make basketball in Wales generally more succesful and fun

What Is "Streetball"?
There is no definitive meaning of the word "streetball". So many people's experiences of it are completely different.
For some it simply means raw, physical basketball. For others it's a circus that only damages the reputation of "real basketball".
In our opinion there is a time and a place for it. But this is not only what this site is about.
The pure purpose of this site is to improve the basketball situation as a whole in Wales and not just Streetball.
It's about love
It’s about travelling miles to play for an hour in a badly lit and cleaned gym Its what makes us tick, what drives us to compete day in day out It's what gets us out of bed on Sunday morning to play
It's about community
The court at the local park or gym/sports centre can become the focal point for a whole area's youth It can unite people regardless of race, age or religion - they all share a common love It's where you can go to be alone - but also where you can go to meet and make friends
It's about hard work
It’s about running so hard you feel physically sick just so you can beat people at the end of a game It’s doing 1000 calf raises before you go to bed at night to improve you vertical leap It’s shooting 1000 shots a day just to make a few in a game It's practicing your ball handling drills over and over and over and over
At the end of the day it’s about one game, one sport that unites us all.
Thanks for taking time out to visit our site. Please keep checking for new updates regularly and who knows what the future holds!
